London trip with Tom!

Our dear Tom is finally back in Singapore...

*YAAY*

and he's so bloody lucky to be on the new SIA plane, B777-300ER from Paris to Singapore!!!
(more details of that in moi's next posting)

The London trip was a blast (except for the bloody cold temperature!! Brrrr~)

It was fun having him on my flight up to London! Eventhough moi was working in the forward zone and he was sitted in the Aft zone. Moi was constantly going down to Aft zone to see if he's alright
and constantly waking him up from slumberland just to pass him stuff...kekeke! i'm so mean!!
No wonder he had the "DO NOT DISTURB" sticker paste on his forehead!
I even packed some snacks and drinks for him just so he doesnt go hungry during the lull period (see how nice i am!!)

He stayed over at my hotel for the first couple of days
(
I WIN!! my hotel is nicer than yours!! lalala~ lalala~)

Nice background against the bed
Day 1 in London:

Went to the supermarketand did groceries shopping. Tom bought this jar of "Gherkins"
===> I never in my whole life heard of this green thingy called Gherkins

wikipedia says that :Gherkin (French cornichon) is a young cucumber, picked when 1 to 3 inches in length and pickled in jars or cans with vinegar (often flavoured with herbs, particularly dill or brine.
You can DEFINITELY read from my expression what moi personally think of this yuckie stuff!
Heck! there's even a "I hate Gherkins.com" webbie...
Dinnertime~
We arrange to meet up with Ah Ken for dinner in Chinatown. Clarissa couldnt join us cos she was too tired after her flight.

i have no idea wat im looking for
Dinner was at a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown (Duh! Chinatown mah! of cos eat Chinese food right!)
As usual, the Courier service a.k.a Moi safely delivered this precious parcel from Veron to her hubby, Ah Ken!

Our Ah Ken was truly excited about this parcel (which weights like a tonne!!). We urged him to opened it on the spot..hahaha
TATA!!!! BIRD NEST leh!!!
BTW, he DIDNT correctly guess what's inside the parcel..MUAHAHAHA
1 brownie point for
Veron
Note: The lady in the restauant told us that it's actually against the law to bring Bird's nest into London!
omigosh~ moi broke the custom law
*sweat drop*

Day 2 in London:

Woke up early cos our Dear Tom going to work. Sigh, gonna miss himDuring evening, we took a nice stroll around Oxford Street while waiting for Ah Ken to join us for dinnerDinner was at this fancy restaurant, Angus Steak houses

Truly, Madly in Love

Our really expensive dinner! This is probably the most expensive steak S$60 I had ever eaten in my whole life FEED ME!! FEED ME!!
Well, i gotto admit that it was pretty good piece of steak!
Nice Ambience and excellent service!
The waitress even volunteer to help take a picture of us together
(of cos we left a nice TIP behind!)
Day 3 in London:

Accompanyed Dear Tom to his hotel located near the London Bridge.

Took the London cab which costs like an arm and a leg!!! Thank god he can put it in his expense claims fyi, the ride from Heathrow Airport to the city (about 30mins journey) cost him 50pounds i.e. S$150! After checking into his hotel and dropping off his luggages, we took a nice and leisure walk to his office which is located near to London bridge.

It was fun spending a couple of days in London together and meeting up with our friend, Ken
Hey, Ken! thanks for showing us around. See ya in Singapore soon!
