Super irritated with my lappie now...
Hmpff, Ungrately brat! After spending $350 repairing it like a few months ago...IT BROKE DOWN AGAIN!!! Grrrrrrr

Anyway, pictures of our new place in Punggol... Spent the whole day yestie cleaning up the place. It was super dirty and dusty, thanks to the repair work done in our master bedroom toilet. Apparently, water had been leaking down to the unit below, so they complained about it and blah blah blah.... not gonna dwell too much into it, to end the story short, everything is good as new when we took over the flat.
Our super spacious (and long) living room...

The view outside.
Bedroom 1 ===> The blue room
Bedroom 2 ===> The Pink roomMaster bedroom ===> With a weird shape and weird cabinets -_-
(i seriously hate thoses cabinets!!)
The kitchen ===> this will probably be the least use room
I know its looks pretty empty for now.... some of the furnitures will be coming in tomorrow, so we are pretty excited.
That's all for now....will post more photos next time...

Psst.... karung guni!! old furnitures, old wat-evers, please give to us... All contributions will gladly be accepted!!! Especially an OSIM massage chair, iDesire

Donut craze in heartland Bedok?

You know there's a Donut craze when not one but TWO different Donuts shops opened in Heartland Bedok within the month of November.

Donut Donut shop
And Munchy Donut shopFunnily, both shops sells almost similar varieties of donuts.

Moi tried the donuts from both shops and i would say the donuts from Munchy donuts taste a notch better. Mabbe It's cos the Donut Donut's Donuts (wow, that's a mouthful of the word Donuts) are too fluffy for my liking. It literally just melt in my mouth. THINK COTTON CANDY. I prefer my donuts a tad less fluffy so i could chew and savour every precious moment of donut bliss. Ermmm, call me weird.

Well, i don't really see pple lapping these donuts up.
Let all see how long they can last ba? *winkz*

Dubai trip!

Winter in Dubai is mechiem like any other day in Singapore(except when it's not raining in Singapore)

It's still scorching hot but not as bad as during the summer.
I was in Dubai last year during their summer and almost collapsed from a heatstroke. It was freaking 43degrees outside. The locals told moi that if the temperature ever hit 45degrees, the govt will declare that day a non working day. I'm not sure how true is that, so dun quote me on that.

View from my hotel room...

When in Dubai, Think big.
Every corner of the street, you'll bound to see big hypermarts, big Shopping malls.
It's so unbelievable.

Shopping in City Centre shopping mall.

My shopping kakis!! Moi + Jolene + Lilian
Saw a group of Arab men having a nice afternoon cuppa in Starbucks.
They lead a tai-tai life too!!

FOUND!!!! Krispy Kreme in Dubai
My xmas wish: Krispy Kreme come to lil Singapore please!!!I think it's a really great idea for shopping malls to provide these cute lil car strollers for parents with toddlers.1. No annoying toddlers running & screaming around the mall
2. Don't you think they look super duper cute in these lil cars? (fyi, its come in two seaters as well!!)After shopping around the huge mall, it's time to head down to Choc & nuts to buy Chocolates and nuts of course!

Waiting for a taxi at the taxi queue.
(fyi, there's like another 100 or so people behind us as well)
*faint*
The good thing was: We waited like just 15mins before we finally boarded a taxi..which was not that bad as the vacant taxis keep coming in.
On our way to Chocs & nuts, the taxi driver pointed out this building from afar and mentioned that this is gonna be the tallest building in the world.
Burj Dubai (from wikipedia) is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in Dubai. When it is complete in late 2008, it is predicted to be the TALLEST MAN-MADE structure in the world, as well as the tallest building by any measure.

Picture from WikipediaTold you.
In Dubai. Think REALLY REALLY BIG.

At Choc & nuts
If you are in Dubai and would like to visit this shop, the address is:
Al-Owais Building, Near Carlton Tower
Tel:221 2035
Check out the arrays of nuts and chocolates!
Mummy asked moi to buy more cashew nuts and pistachios as Chinese New year is like 2months away.

In the end, i bought 7kgs of nuts and had so much difficulties carrying them that my colleague came to my rescue. Thanks Calvin! He was so sweet!! helped moi carried my 7kgs of nuts back to the hotel....Awwwwwww

A really bad experience marred the whole trip. My colleagues and moi were standing along the road waiting for a taxi when one of my colleagues suddenly shouted out really loud. Moi turned around stunned and saw this three dark skinned guys walking by. Later, i found out from her that as the trio was walking by, one of the guy had smacked her butt!!

Stupid Asshole!

After all those shopping, We head down to our regular crew joint for dindin.
You know you are regulars here when the owner placed this on the table
VIP treatment!
Wanna earn our money also dun need like that lah
Our dinner feast!
All time favourite, Chicken tikka, Chicken biryani, some masala stuff
A funny moment occurred when the waiter asked if we prefer the left or right chicken tikka thigh.
There was a moment of silent before my colleague, Andrew replied "the left thigh of cos"
"Why leh?" we asked him
"Aiyah, cos the right thigh always worked out mah, so less tender then the left thigh"Andrew reasoned.

Ermmm...Chicken uses both thighs leh, Andrew -_-

Jolene and Moi.
Alot of my colleagues mistaken Jolene and moi. They kept calling moi JOLENE.
I mean, seriously, do we look that alike? The next morn, moi woke up darn early just to have Dosa and vadai for brekkie.
Their Dosa and vadai are super super nice!!!
I'm not sure what to make of the "saucer" that comes with my coffee..
So if you love Dosa and Vadai, visit Annapoorna restaurant which is located just opposite Traders hotel.

Alot of my colleagues would give Dubai a miss. But not me. I think Dubai is a fantastic place. It's a cosmopolitan place, u get to meet people from all walks of life, great food, great shopping! The only bummer is perhaps summertime when it becomes super hot. Since it's an Islamic country, alcohol and pork products are restricted, though i heard they do sell them in some places. So it's a pretty tolerable society at least in Dubai but not the rest of UAE.
