Frankfurt~

I just love Frankfurt..it's probably one of the cities that moi enjoy flying to..
The place just seems so peaceful and lay back...with mommies pushing baby strollers, elderly buying groceries, market places etc....

DAY1
view from my hotel room
The hotel staff put moi on the 36th floor!! Woo hoo~
bird's eye view of the Frankfurt city
Went to tabao my favourite home made yogurt.
Comes with muesli toppings!!
Usually i'll have the berries flavour.. My colleagues recommended the plain yogurt with fruits saying that it taste nicerThe Berries one is definitely better lor....
Decided to throw a couple of strawberries into the yogurt...
I know it sounds so weird but i dun really fancy eating strawberries...
I JUST LOVE THE SMELL!!

They may look so nice and pretty but most of the strawberries tastes really sour..
Bleah~
So deceiving..
and usually the redder and bigger they are, the more sour they taste

Not all strawberries taste sour.
STRAWBERRIES from Japan and Korea ARE to die for!!!
The sweetest you could ever find in the whole world...
DAY2:
Time to head out to the supermarket to buy groceries and tabao food as well

First stop: Need to get my caffeine fix to start the day!!
My team mates David and Dora swear by Illy's coffee beans...They said that Illy doesn't leave a sour aftertaste, the taste is fantastic...really "oomph"
Sorry to disappoint you guys..but i don't really think it's that fantastic lor..
and at 3.50euros (S$7), its kinda expensive to pay for a cuppa
While moi was sipping my coffee, a Daddy carrying his newborn happened to walk pass where i was sitting..

My Maternal instincts immediately kicked in!!!

I JUST LOVE to see daddy with their newborn!!!
IT'S SUCH A TURN ON~
It just makes me wanna run up to him, give him a bear hug and screamed
"You make a great Daddy!!! ...and psst...do you mind giving your baby to me?"
I know I'm WEIRD -_-
My favourite Pizza joint!!
You have not live your life if you have never taste pizzas baked in traditional wood fired brick oven.

I'm serious!
Tom and moi can attest to that!!

I'm sure some Italian joints in Singapore baked their pizzas using the traditional wood fired brick oven. Not sure where though. Anyone knows?
Yesh!! request for half and half pizza was met with a smile
I bought the cutest lamb from Woolworth... it was just looking at me with the most innocent eyes and i couldn't say no...
Tom and my bro were like "excuse me, may i know how old you are?" when i showed Lambert to them.
(BTW, Tom was the one who came up with the name, Lambert..and he convinced moi Lambert is a HIM)

HELLO!!!!

What has buying soft toys gotto do with a person's age? i personally know alot of people who collects barbie dolls (guys!!!), toy cars and so forth

So Hmmph! Moi collect lamb/Baa Baa of any kinds and shapes... SUE ME!
Check out the amount of chocolates and sausages moi tugged back from the supermarket
Amazing huh!
Most of the chocolates are for my relatives cos mommy said they loved it so much when she offered it to them during CNY. Oh well...

Sausages are for Tom and my family. They are just so crazy over them... especially the Frankfurter sausages.

I'm pretty shocked that i spent over 75euros (S$150) on them..
Darn~ that's where all my euros went...

As a result of carrying all these stuff back to the hotel, moi had bruises on my shoulder.
The sacrifices i made...anyone sympathise with moi?
I just couldn't resist buying this! Chocolate Easter bunny for Tom!!
Happy Easter!! in advance
Bought white asparagus for mommy... Asparagus is so good for you
Wikipedia: It is the best vegetable provider of folic acid. Folic acid is necessary for blood cell formation and growth, as well as liver disease prevention. Folic acid is also important for pregnant women as it aids in the prevention of neural tube defects in the developing fetus. Asparagus is very low in calories, contains no fat or cholesterol, and is very low in sodium. It has a great source of potassium, fiber, and rutin, a compound that strengthens the walls of capillaries.

So better eat your asparagus if you know whats good for you!!
Took a photo of the beautiful sun rise!! It purely luck that moi happened to see the beautiful sunrise. Usually moi will still be in lalaland at that time...
Tom, maybe we should move to Frankfurt instead? *hint*

Dinner at Phin's...and Mr Bean!

Went for dinner at Phin's Tampinese yesterday. .

We wanted to order a steak each, a side order of Garlic bread and drinks. The lady taking our orders advised us to take the dinner set instead. Add S$3.90 to get a slice of garlic bread, soup of the day and a drink.

We took up her suggestion and save like S$12.

I mean don't u just love staff like them? Instead of just asking "what do u want?" No smiles, no warmth, no glass of ice water, they are proactive to your needs, recommending what's good, check on you regularly and so forth.

I love the service there.

Speaking about service. I think the govt shld send every Singaporean for a service course
(make it compulsory like NS).
Better still....advertise it with "Free gift and free lunch" so you'll get 100% attendance!
Then they will learn to appreciate the service providers and be more kind to them. I had been complaining to Tom a zillion times about passengers onboard, my fellow countrymen..about how demanding and nasty they can be and why don't they care and understand that we are really trying our very best.
he asked me back "Do you think they care?"

moi realise " They simply don't care"
Which is kinda sad if you ask me.
Haiz, talking abt the this topic agitates me...Grrrrrr

Enough said...dinner was great and the steak was done as we requested.

Medium rare!!!

Yupz, i how it looks kinda bloody and gross! but it's so tender and juicy..
I love medium rare steak *droolz*
One of the staff saw us taking photos and offered to help us take a picture together.
Which was so sweet of him.

I know i shouldnt be mean cos he's so nice to help us take a photos, BUT HE TOOK SO BLOODY LONG JUST TO TAKE A PHOTO.

He took a couple of steps forward, aimed right infront of our faces, then changed his mind...
Took a few steps backwards aim and mabbe thought the angle wasnt right, then step forward again.... Tom and myself were trying really hard not to laugh out (which was very hard!)

Then suddenly without any warning or say cheese, "Click" he took the photo!

Well, at least the photos turned out pretty nice!! keke
Went to watch "Mr Bean's holiday" after dinner. Mr Bean had us laughing all the way. Its the kind of humor we normally see in his shows. He doesnt really talk alot in the movie except for a couple of words and a few grunts here and there. I absolutely love the way he say "Bean, Mr Bean"
Tom does a pretty good imitation of that!
BTW, saw the Trailer for :Priates of the Caribbean: At world's end. There this part where Chow Yun-Fat says "WELCOME TO SINGAPORE" @-@

Damn hilarious.
The whole cinema was like "WTF?!?!"
you'll know what i mean when you watch it..

Anyway, moi was chatting with my best friend yestie on msn and she commented that I looked abit like Lisa Ang in my MSN picture. I cant rem how she looks like except that she's a news presenter.

I seriously don't see any resemblance. I mean she's pretty and she have dimples.
I LOVE DIMPLES!!
The only thing we have in common was she used to be a flight Attendant with SIA. My senior worr

i can't believe im not called up from standby!!

Woo hoo!!

Anyway, moi got a neat trick for the ladies in the house!!
To make the most stubborn eyelashes curl up and open up our beautiful eyes.

Im not sure about you people but i always have a problem with my eyelashes. It just wouldnt curl up! No matter how many times i curl them with an eyelash curler. They will just fall flat down within a few seconds. And all the adverts about the "so called max curling strength mascara", the "Ultimate eyelash curler" and blah blah blah are just bullshit.
(I'm sure there's certain brand of mascara or curlers that have wonderful curling power but nothing works on mine)

The method that my colleague taught moi is really effective!! And it beats perming your eyelashes (which btw, last for a couple of days before your eyelashes starts turning fuzzy)
Best of all!! It works..and you don't have to fork out money to buy extra stuff..

I was debating whether to buy those electronic eyelash curlers that i saw in Japan when my colleagues said it's a total waste of money (cost like S$30+ leh)

She said: Simply use the hair dryer (set it to hot air please!) and hold it against the eyelash curler for a couple of seconds. On the mouth of the curler, not the whole curler..Then just use it as how you normally curl your lashes. Please PLEASE make sure it's not too hot.. i dun want you guys suing me if your burn ur eyelid or something =P
(hmmm...maybe i shld put a liability clause here!! HAHA)

It kinda work like those electronice eyelash curler just that you are using the hot air from the hair dryer to heat it up.

The results!!
I mean it really open up my eyes!! i was so impressed..
Not sure if it's a good idea to do it often..im sure its not too good for the lashes..
Oh well, The price of wanting to look pretty~

Took a picture of Tom's sky blue eyes...keke
Yupz, i absolutely loves his eyes...

Black Signboard western food~

Moi was watching this food program on TV the other day and one of the stall that was mentioned was the "Black Signboard" located at Bedok South.

The stall is opened by four young chaps and they serve western food
(apparently they used to work in the restaurant of this big five stars fancy hotel)

First time we went there, at 8plus in the evening, they had sold out
EVERYTHING!
EVERYTHING!!
*Grrrrrrr*

So we decided to try a second time....got there early, probably ard 7pm only to see a closed stall with a piece of paper "CLOSED FROM 17th to 21th MARCH" attached.
And it was the 17th that day!!
Yesh, Moi was cussing like hell after that..

Finally, we decided to give the western stall one last chance
we got there in the afternoon after Tom's appointment with a doctor.
(Poor Tom was sick!)

As they always say, Third time lucky!
Stall was opened, but there's already a long queue forming.

Tom had the Beef Lasagna while moi had the fish & chips
We also ordered the garlic bread, a french onion soup and garden salad. The beef lasagna were just so so, the fish and chips taste slightly better than average.
The garlic bread and the french onion soup was pretty nice though.
total cost: S$20...reasonably priced.
I'll give it 4stars out of five.
Probably gonna try their beef steak next time. Yummies
( i saw this lady at the next table having it and it LOOKS REALLY REALLY good!!)

Poor Tom looking so sick~

chance to see Perth for the first time~

URGHHHHH

damn angry now...Grrrrr *shake my fist in the air*
almost finish writing my bloggie and then the stoppid Internet Explorer just freezes up
Ohh C'mon.... it just kicked me out and closed up the window..even before i could save my ALMOST FINISH bloggie..

#$%&!??%#

*breath, Jasmine, BREATH*

*save my bloggie first*

Perth flights are usually "hibernating" flights with layover for just 24hrs.
Routine: checked in, sleep, go out to buy groceries, sleep and then fly back to Singapore.

Dora, my team gal was meeting up with her friend, Chris in Perth and moi grabbed at the chance to really see Perth for the first time.

At 9.30am, Chris came over to pick us up from our hotel.
Moi totally dig his ride!!! It is so cool that i just had to take a photo with it!!
Chris brought us to Como for brekkie.. Really nice and quaint place.
From where we were sitting, we have a clear view of the scenic lake and people sailing on the catamaran. Totally relaxing..
*saved my bloggie*
It's really interesting to observe the catamaran, especially when it does a turning... I'm not really sure how to describe it, the wind will kinda push the sail the other way, and the people on the catamaran will have to duck really low to avoid getting hit by the sail when it turns. So if you are standing up, imagine your shock when you get hit by the sail just when it turns.....
whoosh~ into the water you go

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see anyone getting into the water.

We ordered poached eggs and pancakes, and polished it off with a wonderful cup of flat white
(Chris: YESH, they DO sell flat white in Singapore) =P

But i do admit that the flat white in Australia taste so much better.
(good to know: flat white was first created in Australia!!)

*saved my bloggie*
Yesh, it looks as well as it taste!!

Went back to the hotel for a little afternoon nappie and met up again for dinner.
Chris brought us to The Oyster bar where they serves half price oysters on Mon and Tue.
Took photos of the skyline of Perth CityDoesn't it look gorgeous?
At sunset, sweet elderly couple enjoying the view *bliss*
Dora says she wanna move to Perth when she retires..
Me and Chris were like: NO WAY!
Say bubye to Chris and his cool ride~
Tabao a log of apple strudel from Corica.
Dora and Chris say their apple strudels are totally out of the world.

it was all smashed up by the time i got home
After a bite of it, i was totally sold!
IT IS the best apple strudel i ever had
*chomp chomp*

I could really taste the apple fillings, the creamy custard just melts in your mouth, and the crust is just so crisp....wahhh, just thinking about it makes me droolz
Hmm...maybe can ask Chris to taobao back for us when he comes back!! HAHA
thanks Chris!! *hint hint*
Speaking of Chris, i'm just so amazed that we have so many mutual friends but yet we dunno each other...It's just so weird~
The world ain't so big after all.. after chatting with him, we realise that i knew his sista (Poor boy spent the whole afternoon wondering why i look so damn familiar!! keke)...then we realise that our friends in BA knew each other... and just awhile ago, we found out that we both knew this guy who's his army mate!!

I mean how coincidental is that?!?! it's just so weird!!! Thinking about it now gives me goosebumpies
The world is really very small indeed .. or maybe Singapore is so small that everyone just know everyone..

*funny*
