8days trip to Tokyo & L.A

GRRRR...I'm in PMS mood~
my back & stomach have been cramping/aching ALL NIGHT!!
Poor Tom, he had to suffer the whole night yestie

I think only chocolates can save me now
(open the fridge and stuffed my mouth full of chocolates)

Continue with my bloggie...My 8days trip...
just one word:
JETLAG

All the way to Los Angeles, Tokyo and back to Singapore...

Pretty depressing huh? When your body is finally adjusting to the US time, Zoom~ you are making your way back to Singapore..

Some of my colleagues advise moi "follow Singapore timing lah, then u would feel so bad"
But I was like? HELLO!! how to follow Singapore timing when it is GMT-8 in L.A? 16hours behind Singapore. If Singapore is in daylight, L.A is in nightfall.

Im sure it works for some people, but not for me...i'll try to follow the local time there, if i can..unless im too bloody tired to care

Slept in the afternoon, woke up in the middle of the night, slept again in the morning. Each time clocking just 5-6hours of sleep a day. My body clock was totally screwed up
Decided to finally ventured out of my hotel room on the 2nd day cos my body is craving for fresh air. Everything is still so unfamiliar cos our company put us up at a diff hotel. Previously, we stayed at this pretty world renowed hotel, where restaurants, shopping malls are like a few mins walk away. Then the company decided : "Hey, let's put our cabin crew near to Disneyland! The happiest place in the world"

*roll eyes*

I'm serious. My next door neighbour is Mickey Mouse himself.

My chances of meeting Brangelina's family is prob a big fat ZERO now
(unless they decided to come to Disneyland for a lil family time)
Bleah~

The new hotel is an hour drive from the airport. There's nothing here (there's Disneyland!) except for a Target store which is like 20mins walk from the hotel.

And they don't sell OPI nail polishs!! urghhhh

Super lack of photos in L.A, so moi decided to take photos of the next most interesting thing that happen in L.A : My Carl's burger meal! HAHA
Moi ordered the Six Dollar Burger meal~
It says :
MADE WITH 100% Angus beef
do a wikipedia search: Angus beef
Aberdeen-Angus is the original name of the breed as developed in Scoland. In the US, they are usually referred to simply as Angus or Black Angus. Angus beef is supposedly to be of a higher quality than beef from other breeds of cattle. It tends to have finely textured marbling and thus can be more tender than meat from other breeds.

I still can't get over the fact that the moo moo is totally black in colour!
i mean, i've seem Brown moo moo, Black and White moo moo BUT NOT
all black moo moo

fact or fiction?
Brown moo moo are for consumption, Black and white moo moo are for milking
I must tell you, the six dollar burger is HUMONGOUS!
It's like the size of two Big Mac burgers!

SUPER DELICIOUS

I think it was quite a feat to finish the whole burger!
Considering that moi cannot even finish up a Big Mac burger
It helps that the angus beef tastes so so bloody good~ *droolz*
Yupz, passed by a Morton's, The Steakhouse along the way. Not sure if it's related to THAT "Morton’s of Chicago, The Steakhouse" I'm pretty sure it is!
(updates: just did a google search: IT IS related)

BTW, on the topic of Morton's, The Steakhouse: Moi heard it's a fabulous place and they served the best steak in Singapore. Since im really in love with beef right now, moi did a search on their webbie, found the menu but no pricing.
DARN~
A google search from other peoples reviews on the Morton's Steakhouse: A simple meal for two with main courses, dessert and wine could easily set u back a couple of hundreds dollars...
S$400-S$500 in fact!!!
omigosh~ It's more expensive than Lawry at Paragon!

So guys guys guys, if you wanna impress your date, bring her down to Morton's!
ermm, make sure she's a beef(man)eater though

Day of Depature:
Our bus passed by Disneyland (see, i told you we are neighbours!)
*wave at Mickey* Bubye~
The famous LAX Air Traffic Control that appears in alot of Big Hollywood moviesAfter 11hours of flight, we finally landed in TOKYO!!
FOOD!!

Dragged our asses out for Ramen!!
Somehow or rather, the ramen in Singapore just doesnt have the same SHIOK feeling~

Super shiok~

The next morning, we headed down to Shinjuku for food and shopping

FIRST STOP: SUSHI
Made on the spot

The funny thing: Japanese dun eat much wasabi!
Unlike us Singaporean. Usually, we take a huge chunk of wasabi, use our chopstick and stirred it all up with light soya sauce to get a thick greenish glob. Then we'll practically dipped the whole sushi into our greenish glob just to get the feel of wasabi~ biss going all the way up to our nose and brain..

The Japanese way of eating wasabi is much different.
1. They do not mix them up to get a greenish glob
2. They will just put a teeny weeny bit of wasabi on their sushi.
MY FAVOURITE: Unagi (Grilled eel)Dessert: The sweetest pineapple i have even eaten!
Passed by a Krispy Kreme shop on our way to Takashimaya.

The queue is outragous~
WHEN is Krispy Kreme coming to Singapore?!?!
Abby, my colleague, said that you need at least US$1m to get the krispy Kreme franchise.
To all the Singaporean millionaires: Please make my dream come true!!!

Teabreak: All stawberries cakes!!Snapped a picture of an interesting sink in the toilet
3 in 1, all on a sink....ultra cool~
Stocked up on my FANCL Mild cleansing oil.
New Spring design
Dinner was at a Tempura joint near to our hotelThe next day, moi had Pasta. This is no ordinary pasta! It's pasta in soupy pasta sauseBefore checkout, moi ate this interesting thingy that we ta bao yestieIt consist of crab meat, salmon roe, raw salmon slice, raw cuttlefish, cooked cuttlefish and riceIKURA: Salmon roeIt's super funny to eat so many raw stuff...

I'm quite surprised that my stay in Tokyo was spent walking around looking for food!
Ramen, Sushi, Tempura etc...no wonder i gained weight! But it's worth it!!
