Now that Kate Middleton and Prince William are no longer dating (since 14th Apr), Im sure tons and and tons of girls out there are screaming in joy.

The storyline: Simple Ordinary girl meet Prince Charming, just like in an enchanting fairytale.. and they live happily ever after.

But alas, fairy tales are but just fairy tales.

Which Blokes came out with these fairy tales anyway?

The Grimm brothers who wrote "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
and the all time favourite " Cinderella" by French author Charles Perrault
(notice they are all MALES writers!! HELLO!! and guys are always laffing at women for believing in fairytales! hmmph)

The lil girl in all of us daydreams of becoming a Princess. Waiting for the tall dark fearless Knight in shining armour to come and save the Princess from the fearsome dragon, afterwhich both will ride together on a white unicorn towards the fading sunset

But in reality, things are not always quite like a fairy tale. Like Kate and Prince William...4 years of dating and they decided to call it quits.

fyi, he's pretty tall as well i.e 1.90m (6ft 3in)
I had to stand on this stoopid platform, like 15inches, just to lean my head on his waxy shoulder!!!Which is pretty amazing...considering that Tom is 1.86m....(just 4 cm short)
*gasp*
mabbe i shld custom-made a 15th inch platform shoes so i could rest my head on Tom's shoulder too!! HAHAHA

Phew~

It's a huge load off my shoulder...Finally told my Dad that Tom & I are getting married. Yeah, i know..it's been almost 3 weeks since Tom proposed and i said "Yes"

I had told my family, my friends about it...The only person who doesnt know is my DAD

"So, when are you going to tell your dad?" my friends and Tom had asked countless times..
When the time is right was my usual response..

The time came while my Daddy was helping moi with my cargo bag at our house's lift landing. Moi finally mastered the strength to tell him about my engagement.

Moi: Daddy~
(yesh i noe!! which 28years old still call their dad "DADDY". If you are 6 years old, it's a norm to call "Daddy". As you grow older, "Daddy" is replace by Dad, Father, Ah Pa, or mabbe just Pa, or Oei! lao eh!!

But i still called my Dad "DADDY!!" because i'm forever Daddy's lil girl!!
真不要脸。。哈哈

alright, so back to telling my Dad

Moi: Daddy, Me and Tom are getting married.
long pause.....(Daddy still pullling my super heavy cargo bag)
Daddy: You sure he's the one? Marriage is for life, you know.
Moi: Yes, Daddy. Are you alright with me and Tom getting married?
Daddy: Well, if you think he's the one.. It's not up to us to agree or disagree. You have to be happy with your choice. Just don't regret if you make the wrong choice.

And with that, i think i just got my Dad's blessing!!

Later on when i told Tom about it, He was quite surprise by my dad's response. I guess Tom probably expected a bigger reaction from him. Like my dad chasing him with a cleaver just cos a white guy is stealing his sweet daughter away from him.. HAHA

"So did you turn around and gave your dad a big hug after he said all that?" Tom asked.
Actually, i didnt.
And i guess Tom was right. If i could turn back the clock, Yesh! I should have given him a hug and said thank you for believing in me.
but the moment was lost forever .

On the other hand, knowing my dad, he'll prob just shy away from my hug and pretend to act like he doesnt care. You know how the older generation are. In fact, i never seem my dad and mom holding hands together. Never ever.

And public affection probably doesnt even exist in his dictionary. He's most likely freaked out if i had hugged him there and then.

But Thank you Daddy! for giving in.. for believing in me and my choice.

Tom in San Francisco~

Just sent Tom off at the airport...
He's flying to San Francisco for a business trip and will be back on the 26Th Apr.
Even though it's just a couple of days, somehow or rather it feels like a decade

The sending off is always the hardest. As i watched Tom cleared the immigration, my heart just feel a sense of sadness. Now i know why Tom hates to send me off for flights.
It's just so tough!

Met up with Darren for dinner afterwards. This guy arh, ever since he has a car...been driving around the whole of Singapore! Tom went in at 4.15pm. So i rang Darren asking what time we will be meeting up for dinner. He told me he's still with his best friend buying electronic stuff at Sim Lim and prob would be done around 5 or 6pm.

Since it's just an hour plus of waiting, moi decided to just wait around instead of going home. After an hour plus of relentless walking in T2, i had enough!! There's nothing to see, nothing to buy and watching people hugging and crying at the Departure Hall just depress me even more.

Decided to take the MRT to Bedok as there's a pasar malam there. Finally at 7pm, this Darren called and said he's in Bedok looking for parking space!

ME, the Queen, waiting for Darren since 4.15pm!! and moi was so nice to bring him chocolates and presents. Well, at least he's nice enough to send me home afterwards.
Oh well, you are forgiven, Darren!!

5 more days before Tom comes back!! I could hardly wait!

Oh yeah, that reminds me....took bus number 30 the other day and passed by the Singapore Flyer, equivalent of London eye. I must say that the construction work for the Singapore Flyer is at impressive speed. Just a month ago, there was just the stand for the wheel and now it's almost completed! It does say in the webbie that the completion date is in 2008.
I guess i wouldnt mind going in at least once just to experience the whole thing

Paris~

"Wahh, you're going to Paris!! so exciting" the taxi driver gushed

Moi: Yesh, and it's my "lost count how many Paris flight" liao.
I've been to the Eiffel tower for like three or maybe four times? Took photos of the Eiffel tower in day view, night view and prob midday view?

It kinda loses the novelty after u've been there more there twice. People are always saying that Paris is the most romantic city in the world and how they dream of going there for their honeymoon.

And I'll go like "Really?"

In fact, i couldn't imagine myself going there for my honeymoon. No doubt I can't deny the fact that going with the one you loved will give you a different experience but still.... I'm sure there are plentiful of other beautiful places in the world, for example Prague?

TAKE 2: Damn depressing lor, for the last couple of flights, moi is always the shortest Stewardess in the group! cant that it anymore!! ARGH
The tallest on this flight is Ferrene, who's 1.75m..followed by Sophia who's 1.72m (they could be models lor, for godsake!!)
And they were so nice to bend alil lower in the photos so you can't tell that they are in fact really tall...Sighz, or maybe it's cos i'm short?

I MUST MUST come here every time I'm in Paris!! It's the "not to be miss" stop for moi~
FYI, Months with an "R" in their name (September to April) are said to be the "in" season for mussels. And this month is APRIL!

Was in Maldives over the weekend...got myself a nice tan..
In fact, I'm so tanned that moi look like I'm wearing a bikinis when nekkid!!
The thing is, i get really tanned easily..just 30mins in the sun and i turned really brown
And it takes ages before i go back to my original shade

Arrived in Maldives airport around 10pm. Sometime i think it's so unfair for holiday makers!!
Is it just me or do you all realise that most flights going to beach resort always arrive in the evening or late at night? By the time these people check in to the hotel, it will be like 11 or 12midnight. Wasted a night there!!
I would rather depart late at night and arrive in the morning so you get the full day stay...But that's just me
