Johannesburg - Part 1

Think Safari, tons of animals and......and MORE ANIMALS!!!

Just in case u are visualizing wild animals roaming in the streets and so forth (National Geography)...Ermmm, it's hardly the case.

The animals are kept in nature reserve to protect them against illegal poachers.
Having just slept for a mere 2hours, my colleagues dragged moi out to our 1st sightseeing place in Johannesburg: The Lion Park.

The brochure stated that we will be able to cuddle a lion cub, feed a giraffe.
WOAH...cuddle a lion cub?!?! I could hardly wait!!

On our way to the lion reserve. The ride took abt 30mins

The restrooms

Zebra

Antelopes

Ostrich

More zebras

and Zebras AGAIN!

For our safety, we are not allow to get out of the car when we are inside the Park

Finally! The lions!! They do resemble cats...But Bigger cats...
The male lion taking a nap~The Lionesses keeping a watchful eye on us as the car drove byMaybe cos she's protecting her young cubs
Time to cuddle a cub!Alrite, moi didnt exctly "cuddle" a cub...in fact, i didnt even dare to touch them.
*shame shame*
Those photos are just moi "pretending" to touch them. Im scared kaay!!

My colleague playing with them. They might seem really harmless but HEY! you can never tell with animals whether they are in the mood or NOT!!
Think its a cheetah...or a leopard...We didnt get to feed the giraffe!! She was "not in the mood", standing like 30meters away. Even when the ranger was calling her name and waving the pack of food to tempt her.
Oh well...

Dinner was at a restaurant near to our hotel.

We saw a huge statue of Nelson Mandela
Picture of moi with a South Africian familyThe signboard outside the restaurant
I wonder if they miss out the "S" on purpose
hmmmm...
Good food, Good companyI seriously can't grasp the idea of having two taps on the basin. I know one is for hot water and the other is for cold water. But what if i want warm water? You just cant get a balance here...Walking back to the hotel...
Part 2 of Johannesburg coming out soon
