Yupz, moi just helped to prevent a fire from spreading! how Heroic is that huh!!

With my quick thinking and my handy water bottle, i managed to douse out the fire that was burning from the top of the trash bin.

huh? What Trashbin? *scratch your head abit*

Yesh, some inconsiderate person, obviously in a hurry (or bo chap if you ask me) must had threw the cigarette butt into the bin without first making sure it's no longer lit.

I mean, c'mon lah...how many times have you walk past a litter bin and see smoke coming up from the top?

Some people just look...."the kaypohs"
Some people just walked pass without a care in the world.... "the bo chaps"
and some people (i hope) like me will try to do something about it..."the odd balls"

So i went up to the smoky trashbin and poured my bottle of water into it...

*pssssssssstttttttttttt*

I remembered having this conversation with Tom a couple of months ago when we walked passed a burning trashbin..
Moi: See, some stoopid AXXHOLE didnt bothered to put out their cigarette butt again.... And all these people are standing around watching, and not giving a shit!!!
Tom : Just ignore it, the thing will burn itself out

The thing is, i don't wanna ignore it... i want someone to do something about it

I want the person who throw cigarette butts into the trashbin to be more aware, to make sure that it's truly put out before throwing it away...exercise his duty of care
I want people to come forward and try to put out the fire, if possible

Sighz....sometimes i wondered if maybe i'm the odd ball, the weird one around...
Why do i give a damn about things like that?
Maybe its perfectly normal to not care about burning trashbins?
Maybe its perfectly normal to stand on the right side of the MRT escalator?
Maybe its perfectly normal to ignore servers when they refill your water glass without a thank you or any eye contact
Maybe its perfectly normal to leave your trays on the table in the fast food joints
Maybe we are bunch of selfish lot who just care about our own self beings and not others?

I know it's probably not a big deal..
Yesh, you guys would probably read this and go like "OMG, i can't believe that's she writing about how she saved the day by dousing out a fire on a trashbin..sheesh"
