Called up for Adelaide flight

Tom flew up to West Virgina, US last Sunday... Sighz, feel so empty without him. I even miss his teasing and lame jokes...

And the saddest part? He's coming back this Sunday but moi is flying up to Manchester on Saturday. That mean we wouldn't see each other for another 6days!

moi was called up from Standby to do an Adelaide flight.

It's nice that Shannon's boyfriend would be operating the flight as well...

We touched down on the 1st Oct only to have the custom people telling us that majority of the shopping centers and eateries would be closed as it's a public holiday.

Moi was thinking "WAHHHH so nice! Children's day is a public holiday in Australia"

It turns out that 1st OCT is Australia's labour day. HAH

Thank god some of the eateries in Chinatown are still open for business
(i must say Chinese people are darn hardworking!)

Moi had my regular Beef noodle while Benjamin ordered the mixed rice from one of the Chinese stall. This mixed rice thingy is pretty popular in Australia. The stall owner will give u an empty plate and you'll can choose from a huge selection of Chinese style food i.e sweet & sour pork, Fried chicken, Stir fried beef, veggies and so forth.
It's like buffet style...except that you can only go one round.

So the trick is to pile the plate as high as possible
(i believe my follow Singaporeans would be ultra good at this)

Ben came back with this miserable pile of food and we chided him "Aiyoh, take so little food?! See the table beside us? Their plates are piled as high as Ice Kacang!!"

Ben then went back to the stall and took all these!
He's a growing boy...HahaAfter lunch, we found a nice coffee place. Moi was passing the camera around so they could see the preview of the photos when my colleague exclaimed "Hey Jas, you look photogenic in the photos"

Moi: So u saying that moi look better in photo than in real person lah?
