flying up to Abu Dhabi!
With nothing to post, moi shall write about my upcoming trip to Abu Dhabi. Kinda excited about it cos its moi's first time there. Did a wikipedia search earlier on and found out the following facts:
1. Abu Dhabi is the CAPITAL of United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Its funny cos i always think that Dubai is the capital of UAE.
i am so wrong~
2 The average net worth for Abu Dhabi's 420,000 citizens is AED 62 million (US$17 million), and more than $1 trillion is invested worldwide in this city alone.
These citizens are all freaking millionaires leh!!
3. Abu Dhabi is the RICHEST city in the world (no, it's not Dubai)
Yesh!! becos it provide one-tenth of the planet's oil
Took the picture from wikipedia.. It's the skyline of Abu Dhabi..

Random updates
Friends and family knew moi had been lamenting weeks and weeks about being rostered for training on this new airplane.
All the hype about it being the largest air plane in the world.
It is something that moi DEFINITELY have not been looking forward to.
In fact, i was thinking of means and ways to get myself out of this.
Imagine my happiness when they decided to cancel my training on the night before the training!!
whoooopieeee!! *tears of JOY*
2. Seoul/San Francisco flight
Was UNexpectantly called up from standby to do a Seoul/San Francisco flight (reason for the lack of blog updates lately). Not really enthu about it cos its means spending moola Ka$$ing Ka$$ing
SEE!!
All these orders from my frens and family
It's an extremely good time to shop in US now..Especially when the exchange rate is like US$1 : S$1.38!!!
(used to be US$1 : S$1.75 when i first started flying)
Sorry for the super lack of pictures cos Tom took the camera when he went on a biz trip to London and also to spend some family time at Malmo.
3. New Mahjong table
My buddy, Darren knew I was looking around for a Mahjong table. When he happened to come across a shop selling mahjong stuff, he immediately called moi and asked whether I'm still looking for one. This good buddy of mine even delivered it all the way to our doorstep!!
Awww.....Thanks Darren!!!

Now the only thing missing is a set of mahjong tiles and 2 mahjong kakis!! Haha...

Manchester United stadium!!
envious huh~

My sightseeing kakis, Sylvester is a TRUE Reds supporter..Seriously!!
moi bet he'll kiss the ground they walk on..
It's a good thing for me cos he's probably the best person to feed me with information..
I know nuts about football except the same old corny joke "just 22 grown ups chasing after a dumb ball"
HEHE~ Duh, it's so not funny
Taking the bus (number 250 btw) down to Old Trafford..
It's pretty easy and cost just 2pounds each way

The ride took about 20minutes~
Could have been faster but bad traffic along the way
Tata!! my first view of Old Trafford!!
Its super massive~
Sylvester told moi that the stadium can accumulate 74,000 people!!!
That's how humogous it is!!
The road sign directly pple to the stadium
Not that u need any becos u simply cant miss it.
I just cant resist taking a picture here!!

Walking underneath the stadium

Darts? why would pple bring Darts to the stadium?
At lest they didnt ban lighter n ciggies
Hmmm...I wonder if smoking is prohibited as well
We walked to the main entrance only to find out that in-door tours@ 10pounds will not be conducted today. Reason being that there will be a match happening tomorrow evening. Man U vs West Ham
(updates: Man U won btw, 4-1)
Oh well, Out of luck..
guess we could only take pictures from the outside then

All these balls~ i mean footballs
Moi with a ball~
im wondering if this might be the first Man U team
I guess most die hard fans knows who this man is
I think i prefer Rooney more...
RED and RED everywhere..
A model of the stadium selling for a freaking 150pounds!!!
The super famous guy, Sir Mati Busby~who had a street in Old Trafford named after him

Happy Spring time in Frankfurt!!!

Issit just me or has it been a super long winter?
Moi and my colleague, Ben were walking along a small town in Frankfurt when he pointed to this tree and exclaimed "Ahhhhh, Spring is here cos the cherry trees have blossomed!!"
Moi just looked at him blankly and then back at the tree. Moi: "WHAT????? Your mean these are cherry blossom tress??"
Then i said the most spastic thing:
"But Cherry Blossom trees can only be found in Japan mah!"
I swear i saw Ben rolled his eyes

Accordingly to my colleague, Ben, Cherry blossoms can be FOUND in many countries (and not JUST in Japan). They comes in either white, pinky white or pink flowers. It will blossom between March to April to signify the first sign of spring and probably last for one or two weeks, after which the flowers will fall? and leaves will appear.Note: these information are all from Ben so dun quote moi.
Alright! Just to satisfy my curiosity as well as yours. I shall do a wikipedia search.
wikipedia search: cherry blossom
Cherry Blossoms is one of the oldest and largest international marriage agencies still in operation today. It was established in 1974 as a picture catalog, but has now switched entirely to a web-based format.
Huh?!?! That doesn't look right?
Let's try again...
wikipedia search: cherry blossom aka sakura
Surprisingly, there wasn't much mention abt Cherry blossom, other than it has a short life span (one week plus and minus depending on the climate) and when/where is the best time to view the cherry blossom in Japan.
Oh well, guess u guys hv to do your own research huh
Change this photo of moi to black/white photo to get the rustic n artistic look!
Super 60s look....Hah~
Close up of the cherry blossom flowers~Not a very good quality shot though, it was like a 5times zoom
(hey, you can expect moi to climb up the tree just to get a close up huh?)
Other then my first encounter with cherry blossoms in Frankfurt, there wasn't much other exciting stuff to blog about.
NOT TWO
BUT THREE BUNCH of Radish for Tom
He absolutely loves these radish! I don't think it's available in Singapore yet.Anything to make my baby happy!!
